Location:
Tabgha
Description:
This mosaic found at Tabgha, reflects the view of some that Tabgha was the site of the feeding of the 5,000. The Scripture clearly records, however, that this event was located near Bethsaida, some five miles distant on the notheastern shore of the lake. The fish portrayed is one that is not found in the lake. It was the small, sardine-like fish that Jesus multiplied.
