Location:
Aphek
Description:
Tel Aphek near an old Turkish fort. Aphek (N.T. Antipatris) was located on the International Coastal Highway between the western slopes of the hill country of Ephraim and the swampy source of the Yarkon stream that flowed into the sea. An army that held this point could control traffic from Egypt to the east.
